New users will be able to register for car parking up to 24 hours after visiting the hospital and all users choosing this option will receive free car parking for their first visit. You can check your current duration at any time by entering your full vehicle registration number into any kiosk.
For further visits, the system will identify that you have opted to register via good2go and your parking tariff will automatically be deducted on each occasion that you visit the hospital to cover your stay if you have stayed longer than 30 minutes.
The parking management system at Macclesfield Hospital allows up to 30 minutes for drop-offs and pick-ups.
Visitors using the car parks for this purpose do not need to enter their registration into the payment machines providing they have left the site within 30 minutes. You can check your current duration by entering your registration into a kiosk.
Please be aware though that spending longer than this in a car park without paying the appropriate fee, even if you stay with your vehicle, will result in a parking charge notice (PCN).
As part of a plan to reduce carbon emissions at East Cheshire NHS Trust, four electric car charging points have been installed in the patients and visitors car park which is located by the main entrance of Macclesfield Hospital.
The new charging points enable patients, visitors and staff to charge their electric vehicle (EV) for up to 4 hours per day in a “Pay As You Go” style approach with normal charges applied.
To use the charging points, please register your details with VendElectric either by downloading the app or from the website, www.vendelectric.com.
