The Children's Unit provides hospital care for all babies, children and young people from a few days old up to the age of 16 (or older for children with special needs).

| We have two protected meal times. During this time we encourage only parents/carers to stay, to allow the children to eat their meals in more peaceful environment. We also try to reduce any intervention/tests etc. | ||

| Parents/carers of the child are welcome to visit at any time. Family and friends are welcome during the hours of 11am -8pm. Unfortunately, due to health , safety and space only one parent can stay with their child overnight, a camp bed is provided for the parent that is staying |

| The ward has a small play room which can be used by children and parents. The ward also has a “Parents room” which can be accessed by parents staying with us, this has a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. |
