Surgical Day Case Unit (SDCU) is for the admission of selected patients to hospital for a planned surgical procedure, returning home on the same day.

There are showers and toilets on the ward for patient use only.  The WRVS trolley visits the ward and you can purchase newspapers and magazines, snacks and drinks.  We also have a day/waiting room with a TV.

Discharging a patient
Discharge documentation and any prescribed medications will be prepared and given to you prior to discharge. Day case patients will be escorted to the orthopaedic car park where your lift will be waiting at a time arranged with staff.
