Your planned discharge date will be discussed with you at various times throughout your stay. Any assessment/input required by our therapy teams (eg. Physio, OT) will be arranged during your stay. On your day of discharge you may need to be seen by your surgical team who will write your discharge summary and prescribe any medication required. This will be checked by Pharmacy and any medications will be dispensed. When everything is ready for your safe discharge the Nurse will explain everything to you and you will then be escorted to the orthopaedic car park where you will be collected by your relative. |
